JBCM (Japan Bakery and Confectionery Machinery Manufacturers' Association ) was established in June 1962 for the purpose of executing joint activities necessary for the members on the basis of its mutualism to thereby promote independent economical activities of the members and improve their economical standing.

JBCM, which was only a tiny bud at the start, has now established its firm position in the Japan Bakery and Confectionery Machinery Industry and grown to a big tree with 113 member manufacturers occupying 90% of the total share of the industry.

In March 1971, the 1st MOBAC SHOW (Machinery of Bakery and Confectionery Show) was held in Osaka for presenting the lastest results of our research and development in machinery to make further mutual improvement in technology which could bring about increased demand.

Then, MOBAC SHOW was held in Tokyo and Osaka alternately and will reach the 23th SHOW in 2013. MOBAC SHOW has now become an international dedicated show enjoying high reputation from both domestic and international industries as a key station dispatching the most updated information on bakery and confectionary machines and equipment as well as their related materials.

JBCM is an organization which promotes the following activities in addition to the operation of MOBAC SHOW and keeps on advancing toward the future development of the bakery and confectionery machinery industry.

1.@Those along the national policy Promotion of utilization of a favored taxation system and a financing system for small-and medium-scaled enterprises
2.@Those related to information and investigations Execution of investigations and surveys of every kind Collection and supply of industry-related information
3.@Those related education and training Execution of lecture meetings Operation of a Audio-Visual library
4.@Those related publishing and promotion Publishing a general catalogue of bakery and confectionery machinery and a JBCM bulletine and sales promotion
5.@Those related to production technology Strengthening of measures for the PL Law Execution of an educational program for production technology Studies on the related regulations and systems
6.@Those related to exhibitions All activities for opening MOBAC Show Cosponsoring of related shows and assistance to exhibit products
7.@Those related to public welfare Execution of a welfare annuity fund and other mutual aid projects Promotion of friendly relations among employees
8.@International Affaires Promotion of friendship with groups and users in overseas food-related industries Dispatching groups of technical visitors to overseas food-related industries
Besides the above, there are four (4) activities for which respective dedicated committees consisted of the members have been organized to smoothen each activity.
